Syracuse University prides itself on its athletic prowess on a national level. Its basketball program has been a top tier program for decades with a National Championship in 2003. The football program, while struggling in recent years, has a storied history of Heisman Trophy winners and its own National Championship in 1959. Syracuse’s Lacrosse program is a powerhouse, with a long history of National Championships. Another program that is just as dominant with not nearly the fanfare is the Syracuse University Women’s Field Hockey Team. They are a dominant force, regularly ranked in the NCAA top ten with their own National Championship in 2015.
Camillus Massage Therapy is thrilled to announce a partnership with Syracuse University to provide bodywork services to the Field Hockey Program for the remainder of the 2017 season and we look forward to providing exceptional care for years to come. This endeavor will be led by CMT owner, Christopher Hess, LMT. Kyle Carleo, LMT will also be working with the team in this role when schedule requires.
Camillus Massage Therapy assumes the duties after the departure of an exceptional massage therapist, Seth Merrill, LMT. Seth has been with the team for several years, providing extraordinary bodywork that leaves some large shoes for us to fill. CMT is up to the challenge.
This is the next step in Camillus Massage Therapy’s plan to transform the understanding of what Massage Therapy and Bodywork can provide for the Central New York Community and beyond. The idea of massage being a simple pampering luxury is tragically outdated and patently false. Massage Therapy is a vital health service for non-pharmaceutical pain treatment and athletic performance and recovery. CMT is proving this, one client and athlete at a time.
